Effective Gender Mainstreaming at the work place

In the ordinary understanding of gender in the workplace it is always perceived to mean recruiting women in an institution to get an income. That is women being employed as Secretaries, Office Attendant, Assistant, Tea Ladies and Cleaners, Front Desk Officers to mention but a few. However in today’s development trends in relation to UN International Conventions, Charters, International labour laws and the millennium development goals, gender in the workplace goes beyond mere recruitment.

This course is therefore to enrich different managers at different levels to get equipped with the trend of appreciating gender in the workplace as a key to success and perhaps address the cause of mobility in labour force. This will be through exploiting the necessary approach in meting desired millennium development goals in both public and private sectors.
