Since time immemorial, procurement especially public procurement has been coupled with a lot of corruption, inefficiency and disregard of fundamentals of value for money. This has had diverse effects on the rate and quality of progress in realizing the objectives of organisational development, in regard to developing and transforming countries.
This course provides a thorough knowledge and understanding of procurement and e-procurement, warehousing and stores management, transportation and shipping, inventory planning and contract management within an overall supply chain context.
This course is designed to introduce basic and strategic procurement management practices for better service delivery. It is evident that public/private procurement systems in order to enable to scrutinize the current status of their own systems and measures the extent to which it conforms to internationally-recognized standards.

- To administer the purchasing and supply management function proactively, ethically, and efficiently.
